The 2016 AfTA Conference will be hosted by the Department of Theatre Arts, University of Abuja, Main Campus, Abuja Airport Road, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria.

International flights to the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport are offered by several airlines such as Egypt Air, Ethiopian Airlines, Lufthansa, KLM, British Airways and many more. There are however, no direct flights to Abuja from the United States. Abuja is however, served by several local airlines from Lagos and other international airports in Nigeria. The airport is approximately 40 kilometers from the city centre.

The Permanent site of the University of Abuja, the venue of the conference, is located on the Kilometre 17 of the Gwagwalada – Abuja Expressway, about 15 kilometres from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

 *There are shuttle buses and taxi cabs from the airport to every hotel in Abuja. However, conference delegates are also advised to notify the conference organisers of details of their bookings (name of hotel and location) -
